ORATORIO MADRE MORANO in Ali' Terme (ME)
Pastoral Educational Project

The "Madre Morano" Youth Centre is an educational environment open to all, regardless of origin, religion, or culture. Here, young people find opportunities for growth through targeted educational proposals, ranging from sports to theatre, music to academic support, training to work, and active citizenship to volunteering. The Youth Centre represents a bridge between formal and informal education, offering young people tools to approach their life journey with awareness and responsibility.
A Structured Educational Project
The annual activity plan is based on four pillars:
- Education and Socialisation: study support, emotional and affective development, digital education;
- Personal and Spiritual Growth: promotion of healthy lifestyles, social commitment, management of intergenerational conflicts;
- Activities and Services: family support, vocational training, social inclusion;
- Community and Engagement: recreational, physical, cultural, and sports activities to promote a sense of belonging and responsibility.
Objectives and Strategies for a Shared Future
The "Madre Morano" Youth Centre aims to form "honest citizens and good Christians," encouraging experiences of human and spiritual growth. Educational strategies are based on collaboration with local associations, parishes, and administrations to create a solid educational network. Through the 4A – Educational Animation, Cultural Animation, Catechetical Animation, and Recreational Animation – the Youth Centre is committed to offering formative and community-building paths that make young people active protagonists of their growth and the community.
An Educational Method Based on the Preventive System
Following the example of Saint John Bosco and Blessed Maddalena Morano, the Youth Centre places the minor at the centre, focusing on their needs and promoting holistic education. The educational method is based on several fundamental principles:
Welcoming and personalised attention, especially for the most vulnerable;
Trust in each individual's resources, valuing personal potential;
- Creation of an educational environment that conveys values and promotes the Spirit of Family;
- Use of play, sports, and informal activities as growth tools;
- Youth protagonism and active participation in the educational journey;
- Coordination between educators, families, and the community for a shared formative action.

A year full of educational experiences and brotherhood
The "Madre Morano" Youth Centre opens its doors to 2025 with a calendar full of initiatives designed to accompany children, teenagers, and young people on a journey of growth, friendship, and discovery. Every activity is an opportunity to live the Salesian spirit through play, animation, spirituality, and formation.
Our Proposals:
- Animation and Celebrations: moments of joy, prayer, and sharing to experience faith in a simple and youthful way.
- Games and Workshops: creative, manual, and recreational activities to stimulate talent, collaboration, and imagination.
- Training and Experience Exchanges: educational paths and meetings with other realities to grow together and broaden horizons.
- Excursions and Tournaments: outdoor days and sports activities to promote respect, teamwork, and well-being.
- Events and Posters: the full programme will be updated and communicated through dedicated posters for each special event or annual appointment.
Each proposal stems from the desire to make the Youth Centre a lively, welcoming, and dynamic place where every young person can feel like the protagonist of their own journey.
Sport and Tournaments: Growing Together through Play
Sport is one of the preferred tools of the Youth Centre for education. Sporting tournaments, such as football, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis, are not just recreational moments, but opportunities to learn respect for the rules, teamwork, loyalty, and healthy competition. Every activity is seen as an opportunity to form character and create positive connections between the young people.
